We thank those who have supported us in any effort and time spent on creating this wonderful community of Asian TF2 players. Many of you might be upset that we decided to not go on with Asiafortress League 2 and would love to scrutinise us even further. However, I do hope that you would consider a few factors before you want to bitch about the closure of the league.
1. Asiafortress was created with the intention of promoting competitive Team Fortress 2 gameplay within the Asian communities. In hoping to achieve higher standards of gameplay, we have tried our best to provide servers and a forum platform to promote community bonding. However, the founder of Asiafortress abandoned it even before the first AFL started, and now he wants to point fingers at his unhappiness towards our administration of the league. Tournament format
-A 6v6 double elimination format.
-Number of slots open for this tournament is dependent on the number of teams signing up
Map format
-Best of three maps, first to five or highest score within the time limit of thirty minutes will win the map and the third map will not be played if a team wins the first two maps. If there is a tie breaker(third map), both teams will take a turn each to eliminate the remaining maps from the map pool until there is only one map left which shall be played as the tie breaker map.
-Maps list is shown at the registration thread
Registration closes on the 14th March 2010. Tournament is expected to start on the 21st Match 2010 if there are enough teams and no problems encountered.

Today marked the end of Asiafortress Open with the final 2 teams, SLP and .er fighting for the first place, with the result of SLP grabbing the champions seat. Congratulations!
Standings
1st: SLP
2nd: .er
3rd: Mkz
4th: oink!
5th - 6th: Rf, #96
7th - 8th: pAe, Tt!
9th - 11th: rM|, RAID, TFC
12th - 16th: ^fb, K.T, 2ez
Many thanks to all the players and teams and admins involved which made this tournament possible.
We'll be having another tournament soon, do look forward to it!
